Life has been a whirlwind of wonders—especially these last few months. As if God reached his hand through the clouds and into my life, I have trust in every step I take. I believe that every circumstance has potential to learn from, and that every moment is truly precious.
I am a new dog mom to not one, but two littles babies who have blessed my life in ways unimaginable. They have taught me patience and unconditional love. Through their willingness to learn, and my constant will to discipline, the three of us have grown every day. Oia and Max now jump into the car when I ask them to—it started with me picking Oia up, placing her inside, turning around to get Max, only to find she has jumped outside. This kid’s a 30 lb 6 month old Shepard Chow! It was pretty funny watching me carry him. Now he just takes a seat in my lap sometimes. My big baby.
The purpose of this post is transient. As all things are in life. Life comes, and life goes. It is a cycle, not a battle. And with the passing of my great aunt Suzy—the Khourie, our Souad… My heart is left a little more tender. My grandmother and her brother are the only two left from their siblings, and every passing has been a heartache.
Enjoy the moments, both the good and the bad. Because this too shall pass.
The last time in their nearly 90 years that Suzy and my Teta Claire were together as sisters. We smoked and drank, like we were in Syria, or Boston, or wherever their heart desired. Love you Aunt Suzy. Memory Eternal.
